DON'T ask your florist to reuse the bridesmaid's bouquets as centerpieces for the reception.
By the time that those bouquets make it through pre-ceremony photos and the entire ceremony they can end up looking quite sad, so sticking them in a vase isn’t going to make them perk up.
Additionally, bridesmaids bouquets are designed to be bouquets, not centerpieces. Bouquets are designed to be held in someone's hands and angled forward, whereas a centerpiece is designed to hold up under heat and over time as they have a constant water source (in the vase). Centerpieces are also designed from the perspective of a wedding guest sitting at the table.
DO ask your florist what they suggest to reuse of your floral pieces
Instead of suggesting to your florist to use bridesmaid bouquets as centerpieces you can take advantage of their years of experience and ask your florist what florals from your wedding you could reuse!
SO what florals DO work really well to REUSE??
Ground Arrangements are SUCH a good thing to reuse. Use them in your ceremony to line your aisle or frame you in at the altar. Then have them moved in front of your sweetheart table, your bar table, or your dance floor!
Hanging Installation are perfect to be used for both ceremony and reception if you are doing a flip in your venue space! No moving necessary!
Arch Florals or Installation Florals are perfect for your ceremony and can also be moved to act as a backdrop for your sweetheart table!
Hope this helps!!
