So we know that many florists use foam because it's easy, it's cheap, and it works as a water source to keep flowers fresh.
So here's why we DON'T use it!
It is a SINGLE use plastic, which means once you use it once, that's it. It goes straight to the dump, and since it’s plastic it does not break down naturally over time. This means that it often ends up in landfills and the ocean and is highly toxic.
INSTEAD:
We get to be more creative in our mechanics!
- we often use chicken wire or flower frogs which can be used time and time again!
We believe that God has so wonderfully designed our earth and we have a responsibility to care about the waste we produce. We can’t just like the flowers, but not care for the earth that produces the very product we create with.
